Mahabahu Public School pre-celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 20th June 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Ms. Suchandra Roy—a certified yoga instructor, wellness coach, sound healer, and health entrepreneur.
The program began with a warm felicitation of Ms. Roy by the school. She then addressed the students, highlighting the significance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Under her guidance, the students practiced a series of yoga postures and also experienced a few steps of sound healing, which added a unique and calming touch to the session.
The event concluded smoothly with refreshments served to all participants, leaving everyone rejuvenated and inspired.
Mahabahu Public School celebrated Bishnu Rabha Divas on 20th June 2025 in the presence of the Director, Governing Body members, Principal, Vice Principal, all teaching and non-teaching staff.
The program began with a tribute to Bishnu Rabha, honouring his remarkable contributions. A teacher then delivered a brief speech highlighting his legacy, followed by a heartfelt rendition of a Rabha Sangeet performed by all the teachers as a mark of respect and admiration.

Mahabahu Public School proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and environmental consciousness. Embracing this year’s global theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, the event served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to reduce plastic waste and protect our planet for future generations.
The celebration was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Tarini Charan Kalita, Secretary of the Kamrup District Journalist Association, whose inspiring words and valuable insights set a thoughtful tone for the day. The event was also attended by our Chairman, Director, Governing Body Members, Principal, Vice Principal, dedicated teachers, and enthusiastic students.
Highlights of the Day:
•A special plantation drive was conducted in the school premises, led by the Chief Guest, Chairman, Director, and Governing Body Members.
•Students from Classes 3 to 7 brought and planted their own saplings, symbolizing personal responsibility toward nature.
•Students from Nursery to Class 2 actively participated in the celebrations, learning the value of greenery through guided activities.
•Separate saplings were planted by the Principal and Vice Principal, as well as by the teachers, reinforcing the message of collective effort.
•Certificates of Participation were awarded to students by the Director in recognition of their involvement and commitment.
•As a gesture of gratitude, a token of love and appreciation in the form of plants was presented to all teaching and non-teaching staff of Mahabahu Public School.

In a continued effort to prioritize the health and well-being of our students, Mahabahu Public School successfully hosted a Free Health Checkup and Screening Camp on 25th May 2025 (Saturday), from 11 AM to 6 PM.
This special initiative was organized to ensure that our young learners stay healthy and receive essential health screenings in a comfortable and familiar environment.
The camp was conducted by Dr. Prakritish Bora, MD, who is the Director and Head of the Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology at Apollo Excelcare Hospital, Guwahati. Dr. Bora, a renowned Pediatric & Neonatal Intensivist, led the comprehensive checkup and screening sessions for children and teens. His expertise and compassionate approach made the event a great success and gave parents valuable insights into their child’s health.
The children also consulted Dr. Ranu Begum, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Mridul Mahanta, MD, Internal medicine and DM, Cardiology (gold medalist) and Dr. Faryal Khan, Dental Surgeon for their routine check-up and oral hygiene.

We are thrilled to announce that Mahabahu Public School is introducing a new Co-Curricular Activity – “Abacus” to enhance the holistic development of our students. This program is designed to improve mental arithmetic, concentration, and cognitive skills, contributing to the overall intellectual growth of children.
The sessions will be conducted by CLP Abacus, a reputed third-party expert team carefully selected to ensure quality learning and effective teaching methods. Participation in this activity is compulsory for all students of Mahabahu Public School.

Mahabahu Public School organized a heartfelt celebration under the theme “Mom: My Forever Love” / “You’re My Sunshine, Mom!”. The event aimed to honor the unconditional love, sacrifices, and dedication of mothers, who are the true pillars of strength in every child’s life.
The school premises were beautifully decorated with soft pastel balloons, handprint posters, and “I Love You, Mom” banners. A special highlight was the “Wall of Love” that displayed students’ handwritten messages and colorful drawings dedicated to their mothers, symbolizing their affection and gratitude.
The event began with a warm Welcome Speech delivered by a student from Class 5–7, who eloquently expressed the importance of mothers in our lives, calling them the “real superheroes”.
The celebration featured a series of cultural performances, categorized by class groups:
• Nursery–KG: The youngest students performed a delightful Action Song titled “I Love My Mommy”, captivating the audience with their innocence and enthusiasm.
• Class 1–2: This group presented a cheerful Group Dance on a mother’s song, followed by Poem Recitations that beautifully conveyed their appreciation for their mothers.
• Class 3–4: A thoughtful Skit titled “If Mom Took a Day Off!” was enacted, bringing smiles and laughter while highlighting a mother’s daily sacrifices. Students also recited touching poems like “Meri Maa” and their own self-written verses.
• Class 5–7: Senior students performed a soulful Group Song and Solo Singing of “Maa”, both in Bollywood and English versions, filling the hall with emotion and appreciation.
In a special segment, one student from each class stepped forward to share one thing they are thankful to their mothers for. Their heartfelt words left the audience deeply moved, reflecting the love and respect they hold for their mothers.
The event concluded with words of appreciation from the teachers and staff, who acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the students and praised the efforts of all the mothers. The celebration was a grand success, leaving behind unforgettable memories and strengthened bonds.
