🌞 Summer Camp 2026 | Day 1 Highlights ✨

A Wonderful Beginning at Mahabahu Public School! 💙

Summer Camp 2026 began with tremendous enthusiasm, excitement, and joy! The first day was filled with meaningful activities, creative learning, teamwork, and plenty of memorable moments for our young learners.

🎀 Grand Inauguration

The camp was officially inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the gracious presence of our Chairman, Director, Governing Body Members, Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and non-teaching staff. The ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting journey filled with learning, creativity, confidence, and fun.

🎂 A Sweet Beginning

The celebrations continued with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, filling the campus with smiles, laughter, and excitement as everyone came together to celebrate the beginning of Summer Camp 2026.

🎨 Art & Craft Magic

Creativity came alive as our young artists transformed waste plastic bottles into beautiful flowers and created their own adorable handmade bags. The activity encouraged imagination while teaching an important lesson: waste can be transformed into something beautiful with creativity and care.

🍱 Sharing Is Caring

Through our special Tiffin Sharing Activity, students experienced the joy of sharing food with their friends. The activity helped nurture values of kindness, friendship, empathy, cooperation, and togetherness.

🌟 Behaviour & Etiquette Session

An engaging session on good manners, etiquette, respect, discipline, and positive behaviour helped students understand how small acts of kindness and respectful behaviour can make a big difference in everyday life.

🧠 Quiz Competition

The exciting Quiz Competition challenged young minds with fun and thought-provoking questions. Students enjoyed learning while developing their general knowledge, teamwork, confidence, and quick-thinking skills.

🥋 Self-Defence Workshop

The day concluded with an energetic Self-Defence Workshop, where students learned basic safety awareness, confidence-building techniques, and essential self-protection skills. The session encouraged students to become more aware, confident, and prepared.

Day 2 of Summer Camp 2026 at Mahabahu Public School was all about fun, relaxation, and creating beautiful memories together!

🍿 Movie Time Magic

Our little campers enjoyed a delightful movie session filled with laughter, excitement, and wonderful moments. With their favourite snacks and popcorn in hand, the children settled in with bright smiles and eagerly watched every scene.

From the very first moment to the end, the room was filled with joy, laughter, excitement, and cheerful faces. It was heartwarming to see our young learners enjoying quality time together outside the regular classroom environment.

💛 Making Memories Together

Day 2 reminded us that learning isn't always about books and classrooms. Sometimes, the happiest lessons come through shared experiences, friendship, laughter, and togetherness.

A Day of Creativity, Discovery & Hands-On Learning! 💙

Day 3 of Summer Camp 2026 at Mahabahu Public School was filled with curiosity, creativity, practical learning, and plenty of excitement. Our young learners explored new concepts through engaging activities and hands-on projects.

🌍 Understanding Day & Night

Students enthusiastically created a Working Model of Day and Night, gaining a practical understanding of Earth's rotation and discovering how day and night occur. The activity made learning about our planet fun, visual, and interactive.

💧 Science Project – Water Filtration

Through an engaging Water Filtration Model, students explored basic water purification methods using gravel, sand, coal, tissue, and cotton.

They observed the processes of sedimentation, decantation, and filtration, while developing an understanding of the importance of clean water and simple methods of purification.

🌱 Exploring the Parts of a Plant

Our little learners discovered the fascinating world of plants through a creative Art & Craft activity. They learned about the roots, stem, leaves, flowers, and fruits, while understanding that plants need sunlight, water, air, and soil to grow.

The activity also encouraged creativity, observation, concentration, and fine motor skills.

💻 Computer Project

The day also featured an exciting Computer Project, giving students an opportunity to explore technology, develop digital skills, and express their creativity through practical learning.

🗣️ Spoken English Session

We wrapped up the day with an interactive Spoken English Session, where students practised communication in a fun and supportive environment. The session helped them build confidence, vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday communication skills.

🌟 Learning by Doing

Day 3 was another wonderful reminder that children learn best when they can explore, experiment, create, and experience concepts for themselves.

From science and nature to technology and communication, every activity encouraged our students to think, discover, create, and grow.

Celebrating the Spirit of Motherhood at Mahabahu Public School

Mahabahu Public School celebrated this special day with great enthusiasm, heartfelt emotions, and high hopes, dedicating the occasion to the wonderful mothers of our children.

Although only a few mothers—around 5 to 6—were able to attend the celebration, their presence made the occasion truly meaningful. We sincerely thank each of them for taking the time to be a part of this special event.

We only wish that more mothers could have joined us, as it was a golden opportunity to come together, share beautiful moments, and reflect on the invaluable role women and mothers play in shaping families, society, and humanity.

Nevertheless, the celebration was filled with warmth, love, and gratitude. At Mahabahu Public School, we believe that mothers are the first teachers, greatest supporters, and strongest pillars in a child's journey.

Mahabahu Public School Celebrates Its First Annual Day

Guwahati: Mahabahu Public School marked a significant milestone in its journey by successfully celebrating its First Annual Day on 21st December '25 with great enthusiasm and pride. The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries, with Prof. (Dr.) Mridul Hazarika (Former Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University) as the Chief Guest and Shri Pradip Chandra Saloi (IPS, Retd. Commissioner of Police, Guwahati) and Dr. Hitesh Baruah (Managing Director, Nemcare Hospitals, Pvt. Ltd. Guwahati) as the Guest of Honour, along with respected advisory board members and executive trustees.

The programme showcased a vibrant blend of cultural and thematic performances by students, reflecting their confidence, creativity, and disciplined training. One of the key highlights of the event was a captivating storytelling presentation of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, guided by renowned storyteller Sherin Mathews from Mumbai. The performance left a lasting impression on the audience and demonstrated the school’s focus on expressive learning.

The celebration also offered a glimpse into the school’s academic and co-curricular achievements throughout the year. Students were honoured with awards for academic excellence, discipline, punctuality, regular attendance, and outstanding performances in various competitions, reinforcing a culture of dedication and excellence.

Speaking to the media, Director of Mahabahu Public School, Mrs. Khursida Begum, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to storyteller Sherin Mathews for her guidance and support in nurturing the students’ confidence. She appreciated her role in helping the children flourish and deliver such remarkable performances, especially as many of them appeared on stage for the first time. She further stated that the event was a grand success and a proud moment for the entire school community.

Adding to the festive spirit, Mahabahu Public School celebrated Pre-Christmas with Santa Claus distributing gifts to all the children, bringing joy and cheer to the young learners.

The First Annual Day concluded on a proud and memorable note, reflecting Mahabahu Public School’s commitment to holistic education and laying a strong foundation for its future endeavours.

Mahabahu Public School celebrates the 79th Independence Day 

Mahabahu Public School proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony led by our Principal Ma’am, followed by paying homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by the Governing Body Members, teachers, and students: our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Kshitish Ch. Sarma then addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. A Class 5 student delivered a heartfelt speech on the significance of the day, which was followed by a soulful patriotic song by our talented students and a vibrant patriotic dance performance. The celebration concluded with light refreshments served to all students, parents, and members of the MPS family.

Day 3 – Summer Camp Highlights

The final day of our summer camp was marked with an exciting day trip to the Science Museum in Guwahati. Students, accompanied by teachers and non-teaching staff, began their journey from Dimu around 9:00 a.m. and reached Guwahati by 10:30 AM

The museum visit kicked off with a fascinating tour through various science exhibits, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the students. A highlight of the visit was the nitrogen gas show, where many students participated actively and enjoyed the hands-on experience.

Following the exhibits, the children spent some time playing in the museum's playground, letting off steam after an educational morning. Lunch was then served at the Assam Administrative Staff College hall, where everyone gathered for a warm, hearty meal that began with a prayer. A heartfelt thank you to our Chairman Sir for kindly arranging the AASC hall for us. 

The day concluded with a cheerful group photograph, capturing the joyful moments of the trip. With that, we wrapped up our summer camp on a successful note.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Director Ma'am, Principal Ma'am, all the staff, students, and parents for their cooperation and support throughout the camp. Here's to more learning and laughter ahead!

Day 2 – Summer Camp Highlights

Day 2 of the summer camp began with an IQ test. Students were given printed question sheets and worked attentively on the task. The IQ test was conducted meticulously by Director Ma'am. Following the test, they participated in an engaging dance session conducted by our certified dance teacher, Mrs. Nivedita Das. The students thoroughly enjoyed the energetic session and took active part with great enthusiasm.

Day 1 – Summer Camp Highlights

Summer camp kicked off with a delightful start on Day 1, beginning with a Manners Class where students learned essential etiquettes to practice at home and in their everyday surroundings. To reinforce these lessons, each child received a printed guide on good manners for daily life.

Next came an engaging Storytelling Session led by certified junior artist Miss Tanzeel Sultana. Students participated with great enthusiasm, exploring imaginative and expressive ways of storytelling including pencil reading. The session proved to be both enriching and inspiring for all.

The day concluded with a creative Craft Activity. Children dived into clay modeling and vegetable stamp painting. While the younger students joyfully shaped different vegetables out of clay, the senior students showcased their talent by building impressive clay models of the solar system, reflecting both creativity and teamwork.

Mahabahu Public School pre-celebrated the International Day of Yoga 

Mahabahu Public School pre-celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 20th June 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Ms. Suchandra Roy—a certified yoga instructor, wellness coach, sound healer, and health entrepreneur.

The program began with a warm felicitation of Ms. Roy by the school. She then addressed the students, highlighting the significance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Under her guidance, the students practiced a series of yoga postures and also experienced a few steps of sound healing, which added a unique and calming touch to the session.

The event concluded smoothly with refreshments served to all participants, leaving everyone rejuvenated and inspired.

Mahabahu Public School celebrated Bishnu Rabha Divas 

Mahabahu Public School celebrated Bishnu Rabha Divas on 20th June 2025 in the presence of the Director, Governing Body members, Principal, Vice Principal, all teaching and non-teaching staff.

The program began with a tribute to Bishnu Rabha, honouring his remarkable contributions. A teacher then delivered a brief speech highlighting his legacy, followed by a heartfelt rendition of a Rabha Sangeet performed by all the teachers as a mark of respect and admiration.

Embracing this year’s global theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, the event served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to reduce plastic waste and protect our planet for future generations.

The celebration was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Tarini Charan Kalita, Secretary of the Kamrup District Journalist Association, whose inspiring words and valuable insights set a thoughtful tone for the day. The event was also attended by our Chairman, Director, Governing Body Members, Principal, Vice Principal, dedicated teachers, and enthusiastic students.

Highlights of the Day:

•A special plantation drive was conducted in the school premises, led by the Chief Guest, Chairman, Director, and Governing Body Members.

•Students from Classes 3 to 7 brought and planted their own saplings, symbolizing personal responsibility toward nature.

•Students from Nursery to Class 2 actively participated in the celebrations, learning the value of greenery through guided activities.

•Separate saplings were planted by the Principal and Vice Principal, as well as by the teachers, reinforcing the message of collective effort.

•Certificates of Participation were awarded to students by the Director in recognition of their involvement and commitment.

•As a gesture of gratitude, a token of love and appreciation in the form of plants was presented to all teaching and non-teaching staff of Mahabahu Public School.

Mahabahu Public School Organizes Free Health Checkup Camp for Kids & Teens 

The programme was inaugurated by our esteemed chief guest, the Officer-In-Charge of Dimu, Dobok, Mr. Samrat Das. We are truly grateful for his presence and interest in the overall well being of our children.

In a continued effort to prioritize the health and well-being of our students, Mahabahu Public School successfully hosted a Free Health Checkup and Screening Camp on 25th May 2025 (Saturday), from 11 AM to 6 PM.

This special initiative was organized to ensure that our young learners stay healthy and receive essential health screenings in a comfortable and familiar environment.

The camp was conducted by Dr. Prakritish Bora, MD, who is the Director and Head of the Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology at Apollo Excelcare Hospital, Guwahati. Dr. Bora, a renowned Pediatric & Neonatal Intensivist, led the comprehensive checkup and screening sessions for children and teens. His expertise and compassionate approach made the event a great success and gave parents valuable insights into their child’s health.

The children also consulted Dr. Ranu Begum, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Mridul Mahanta, MD, Internal medicine and DM, Cardiology (gold medalist) and Dr. Faryal Khan, Dental Surgeon for their routine check-up and oral hygiene.

Highlights of the camp included:

• Comprehensive health screenings tailored for children and teenagers.

• Friendly interaction and consultation sessions with Dr. Prakritish Bora.

• Emphasis on early detection and preventive care.

• Guidance on nutrition, physical activity, and healthy living practices.

Mahabahu Public School Introduces Abacus Co-Curricular Activity & Art Competition

We are thrilled to announce that Mahabahu Public School is introducing a new Co-Curricular Activity – “Abacus” to enhance the holistic development of our students. This program is designed to improve mental arithmetic, concentration, and cognitive skills, contributing to the overall intellectual growth of children.

The sessions will be conducted by CLP Abacus, a reputed third-party expert team carefully selected to ensure quality learning and effective teaching methods. Participation in this activity is compulsory for all students of Mahabahu Public School.

Introductory Event & Art Competition:

To introduce parents and students to the benefits of Abacus learning, we are organizing an Introductory Event on: Date: Friday, 16th May 2025

During the event, a representative child from the Abacus Institute will demonstrate the effectiveness of Abacus learning techniques.

Additionally, we are excited to host an Art Competition for students on the same day. This competition aims to nurture creativity and artistic expression among our students.

On the joyous occasion of Mother’s Day

Mahabahu Public School organized a heartfelt celebration under the theme “Mom: My Forever Love” / “You’re My Sunshine, Mom!”. The event aimed to honor the unconditional love, sacrifices, and dedication of mothers, who are the true pillars of strength in every child’s life.

The school premises were beautifully decorated with soft pastel balloons, handprint posters, and “I Love You, Mom” banners. A special highlight was the “Wall of Love” that displayed students’ handwritten messages and colorful drawings dedicated to their mothers, symbolizing their affection and gratitude.

The event began with a warm Welcome Speech delivered by a student from Class 5–7, who eloquently expressed the importance of mothers in our lives, calling them the “real superheroes”.

The celebration featured a series of cultural performances, categorized by class groups:

• Nursery–KG: The youngest students performed a delightful Action Song titled “I Love My Mommy”, captivating the audience with their innocence and enthusiasm.

• Class 1–2: This group presented a cheerful Group Dance on a mother’s song, followed by Poem Recitations that beautifully conveyed their appreciation for their mothers.

• Class 3–4: A thoughtful Skit titled “If Mom Took a Day Off!” was enacted, bringing smiles and laughter while highlighting a mother’s daily sacrifices. Students also recited touching poems like “Meri Maa” and their own self-written verses.

• Class 5–7: Senior students performed a soulful Group Song and Solo Singing of “Maa”, both in Bollywood and English versions, filling the hall with emotion and appreciation.

In a special segment, one student from each class stepped forward to share one thing they are thankful to their mothers for. Their heartfelt words left the audience deeply moved, reflecting the love and respect they hold for their mothers.

The event concluded with words of appreciation from the teachers and staff, who acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the students and praised the efforts of all the mothers. The celebration was a grand success, leaving behind unforgettable memories and strengthened bonds.
